I have a lot of favorite quote; mostly from Grateful dead songs. Then I saw the movie Serenity and found a new one.
"Can't do something smart? Do something right." -Mal from Serenity/Firefly
I love this quote on so many levels. First off its a cool quote, but then you think about it and its a good was to live your life.
Not only does this movie have great quotes but it is based off a tv show called firefly that is equally awesome.

Day 4 - A favorite tv program
I don't follow too many programs anymore but the ones I do follow I love. The three I do watch are House, Bones, and Supernatural. Out of those three I would have to say that Bones would be the one I would be most upset if I missed it.
I love the dynamics between Bones and Booth. There is real chemistry there (or some GREAT acting). I love how they are all like a family in their actions and words. I know that its first and foremost a program about death and finding the answers but I think its come so far beyond that. Now that Angela and Hodgins are having a baby (and are FINALLY together) it has made it even more interesting. Each week I can't wait for Thursday night and heaven help me if it is pre-empted by American Idol (God how I hate that show)!

Day 3 - Favorite book
I am such an avid reader that choosing a favorite book is like asking me to choose my favorite child. Both are so varied in character and content that picking a favorite would be near to impossible.
I love Dean Koontz, Nora Roberts, and just about any romance or mystery/horror author!
Though I must admit that there are 3 series of books that I re-read at least a few times a year. The first is the erotic sleeping beauty series by Nora Roberts. It is an amazing re-take on a classic. It sucks me in and makes me feel for the characters. You want to know what is going to happen next and when one book ends you are left wondering what is going to happen next (that is until you read the next one).
The other series that I can get enough of is the Harry Potter series. In fact I am currently re-reading the series, yet again! I am on the 4th book "Harry Potter and The Goblet of fire". Each new book of this series leads you deeper down the rabbit hole of magic. I get so sucked in to the book that when I put it down I am disappointed that it not all real. While reading these characters are not mearly fictitious but are like friends that I get to share a wonderful story with. Out of the sever books I would have to say that my favorite would have to be "Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince". There are so many layers added on to this book that the other didn't have. It is like all the books built one upon the other till they got to this one. LOVE THIS SERIES!
The last of the series that I will read over and over again until the book falls apart is the Vampire Chronicles. Everyone is all ga ga over the Twilight series but in my very honest opinion it can't hold a candle to Anne Rice's masterpieces. Her character pop from the pages of her books as fully formed people with flaws and vices. My favorite out of the Vampire Chronicles would have to be "The Queen of the Damned". I love the amount of detail that she puts into the background of her characters. If I didn't know better I would think she was simply writing a biography; these books are that amazing!

Day 2 - A favorite movie
When asked what my favorite movie is I don't even need think. Without a doubt my favorite movie is Rocky Horror Picture Show. I first saw this movie as a teen in a run down theater where audience members were encouraged to get up on the stage and act out their favorite parts. It was instant love! I went back and eventually found my courage to get up on stage and act out some of my favorite parts.
It also helps that Tim Curry happens to be one of my favorite actors. I don't think there is a single movie with him in it that I don't appreciate in some form or another. Really what other man would be able to wear fish net stockings and high heels and pull it off so shamelessly??
"I see you shiver with antici.............pation" has to be one of the best quotes ever. Seeing Tim Curry say in it full makeup with his amazing facial expression makes it priceless. I can't find a good video of his face but this is my favorite song from the movie. The quote is at 2:50.

Day 1 - A favorite song
How to choose a favorite song? There are so many that I would listen to over and over again. I love The Beatles "In my life", The Grateful Dead's "Brown eyed women" and "Touch of Gray". Though I think my favorite song would have to be Little Feats "Spanish Moon".
Spanish Moon
--L. George
(uh-huh - the moon)
Well the night that was high, we got into town
Was the night of the rain, that froze on the ground
down the street I heard such a sorrowful tune
comin from the place they call the spanish moon
well I stepped inside, and slipped by the door
well a dark girl sang, and played the guitar
there were hookers, and hustlers, they filled up the room
I heard about this place they called the spanish moon
There's whiskey, and bad cocaine
posion get you just the same
and if that - that don't - kill you soon
the women will down at the spanish moon
well I pawned my watch, and I sold my ring
just to hear that girl singing, yeah, yeah
I don't care who, you can wake up ruined
you can loose it all down at the spanish moon
There's whiskey, and bad cocaine
posion get you just the same
and if that - that don't - kill you soon
the women will down at the spanish moon
This song has such an amazing soulful beat and such a smokey undertone that its seductive in its pull. You can't help but sway and dance to the music.
